Success does not happen by accident.
We are the champions of Intentional Chinuch — it takes syata dishmaya, and it takes intentional effort.
The child is an active partner in the Mitzvah of Chinuch.
Attributed toThe Rebbe
Every child, seen in full.
We care for his social, emotional, academic, physical and spiritual growth — and define success as combined excellence in knowledge, learning skills, life skills and mentchlichkeit.
Torah
Reading and translating fluently in Lashon Kodesh, from Alef-Beis through Tosfos.
Knowledge
Excellence in Chumash and in general studies, taught through the lens of Torah.
Learning Skills
The tools to learn independently — not only to memorize, but to think critically.
Life Skills
Time management, task-completion, and the skills to succeed as a dependable adult.
Mentchlichkeit
Instinctive Derech Eretz and Middos Tovos, practiced and tracked every day.
Social & Emotional
A sense of safety, dignity and worth at the centre of every interaction.
Four decisions that shape every day here.
Two years, not one.
Our classes are grouped in divisions of two grades each, taught by a team of teachers who take collective responsibility for a Talmid's progress and stay with him — building a real mentorship relationship, year over year.
One staff, all day.
Our Mechanchim teach a Torah-based program all day — 100% present, 100% chinuch professional — so a Talmid's respect, behavior and motivation stay consistent from morning to dismissal.
A campus rebuilt with intention.
A modern gym, auditorium, dining room, computer lab, library and two shuls — and a backyard rebuilt in 2023 with new turf and two full-sized basketball courts.
Measured, not assumed.
All aspects of teaching and learning are thoughtfully planned, intentionally designed, and continually measured and evaluated — so that every Talmid has every reason to succeed.
Founded 1897. Renewed for now.
Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim was founded by the Rebbe Rashab in Lubavitch, Russia, in 1897 — the first yeshiva to integrate the revealed part of Torah with the teachings of Chassidus in a formal course of study. Reestablished in New York by the Rebbe Rayatz, the yeshiva moved to Ocean Parkway in 1970.
Today, drawing on more than 120 years of formal Lubavitch education, we are taking a fresh and truly holistic approach to Chassidishe chinuch.

A culture of total care.
We're in good hands
To infuse your son with a love of Hashem and His Torah — and the conviction that Hashem loves and cares for him too.
A rising foundation
Each grade builds on the skills and content of the year before — Parshah, Yomim Tovim, Alef Beis, math, science and literacy.
A culture of caring
At the heart of every interaction is a respect for ourselves, our peers, our elders and our environment.

What parents say.
“ULYOP is doing an incredible job of teaching and reaching the whole child. The staff members are kind and calm, they model respectful communication and have created an environment that pulsates with positive energy.”
Parent of a Talmid in 3rd Grade
“The thing that stands out most to me when seeing the staff and teachers in action at ULYOP is the basic respect that is shown to each child. This is simple but so powerful!”
Parent of a Talmid in 6th Grade
“There's nothing more reassuring than knowing that our children are being well cared for. Whether it's educationally, emotionally or socially, they are B"H in good hands.”
Parents of Talmidim in Multiple Grades
Built for the way children actually learn.
Flexible modular tables move between lecture and teamwork. A gym, auditorium, dining room, computer lab, library, two shuls — and, since 2023, a backyard rebuilt with new turf and two full-sized basketball courts.
